Our History

Classroom Catering began on 17th March, 2003 with our first school canteen at Lethbridge Park Public School, since then we have grown to include 17 schools within the Greater Western Sydney.

Classroom Catering employs over 25 staff, most who are local mums within our community, working with us to improve the quality of food and service our children receive at their school canteen.

Our main objectives in operating our canteens is to provide a healthy, nutritional, well- balanced and affordable menu for students and staff alike.

Our Initiatives

Classroom Catering regularly attend the NSW School Canteen Association Expo’s and keeps up to date with all relevant information.

We are a member of the NSW School Association and as a member we stay up to date with current information being passed on to schools and canteens, the Canteen Menu Planner with green, amber and red food categories.

For the last 8 years we have been part of the “Fresh for Kids” fruit & vegetable promotion which is very successful in promoting fruit and vegetables within the school canteen. We are approved to trial the Fresh for Kids “Healthy Encouragement Award” which supports teaching children the importance of a healthy lifestyle and incorporating exercise.

These awards are given out for commitment to PSSA.
